Coda has relaunched the “Spread the love” website just in time for Valentine’s Day. Rush on over to the new site to have a look at the latest, uniquely South African cards. Pick the one that you know your ladyfriend/blokefriend will giggle at, fill in a little form, and voila, you have the cheapest Valentine’s solution ever. I strongly advise that this card goes in conjunction with something though. Take them for Spur ribs! Hmmm… maybe not.

You will notice a slight change in functionality with the new site. No longer are the cards Valentine’s Day specific. You can now use the cards for any special person on any special day. You can even be anonymous.

Make sure you check out all the cards, as there are some real gems. You might even stumble upon a contribution from me :)

Chris Pearson, the qualified mechanical engineer turned perfectionist website designer has written a couple of great posts over on his increasingly popular blog, on the subject of SEO.

In the first two articles of his five part series he discusses the importance of sitemaps. To sum up his articles in one sentence:

Sitemaps are vitally important in getting properly indexed by the big search engines.

Both of the articles come with wordpress plugins to generate yummy sitemaps for Google at the click of a button. Another reason to move to wordpress!

I just wanna dance

Just imagine you quit your job making and playing video games and you decide to go traveling around the world with your mate, until your savings runs out. Your mate gives you the rather random idea to dance in every country you go to whilst he records you making a fool of yourself.

You then post the video on YouTube for fun. Seeing it is whack enough, it gets a lot of views. It then gets more views, and even more views. Then some guys who make chewing gum think it would be a good idea to sponsor you to go do it all again, but this time you have to go to even more places and dance even more. But don’t worry all your travels are paid for. You just go have fun and dance your little heart out.

Whilst going through my webstats I noticed I have had quite a large amount of hits coming from a site called StumbleUpon. Being a little inquisitive I visited the site to find out more.

“StumbleUpon lets you channelsurf the best-reviewed sites on the web. It is a collaborative surfing tool for browsing, reviewing and sharing great sites with like-minded people. This helps you find interesting webpages you wouldn’t think to search for.”

By downloading a small add-on for your Firefox, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or SeaMonkey web browser, you get a StumbleUpon Toolbar. It looks a little something like this:
